As a graduate from Endicott College, majoring in Communications with a minor in Journalism, I am eager to contribute to the communications and journalism industry. My focused interest lies in journalism, particularly in sports reporting.
Throughout my academic journey, I've honed essential skills such as effective communication, reporting, interviewing, and proficient writing. These skills have been further developed through practical experiences gained from internships and coursework. At Endicott College, I've immersed myself in various Communication and Journalism courses, including Public Relations, Professional Writing, Writing for the Media, Sports Journalism, and Fundamentals of Journalism. These courses have equipped me with a solid understanding in journalistic principles and practices.
I've also had the privilege of gaining hands-on experience as a sports writer for esteemed institutions such as USA Baseball, Duke University Athletics, the Cape Cod Baseball League, D1 Baseball, and Endicott College's Athletic Department. These roles have allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, refining my writing skills and enhancing my understanding of sports journalism.

Communications/Social Media Intern
Cary, NC

As a Communications and Social Media Intern with USA Baseball, I am responsible for writing and publishing feature stories, game recaps, and player highlights for the organization’s website and event coverage. I help manage USA Baseball’s social media accounts, including Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, creating engaging content that promotes national teams, development programs, and tournament action. My role includes providing live event coverage through real-time updates, score graphics, and highlight posts, while maintaining the organization’s brand voice across platforms. I also conduct interviews with players and coaches to support editorial storytelling and enhance audience engagement across digital channels.

Communications/Creative Services Intern
Durham, NC

For my fall semester senior year of college, I served as a Communications and Creative Services Intern at Duke Athletics, where I played a key role in both content creation and media coordination. My responsibilities span a wide range of tasks, including transcribing quotes from press conferences, sending out weekly reports, and developing digital programs for home events.
I worked closely with staff to identify engaging human-interest stories and contributed to writing and editing efforts for various media pieces. In addition to her communications duties, I collaborated with the Creative Services team to tag photos, brainstorm social media content, capture live event footage, and update digital signage.
I also helped maintain the accuracy of Duke’s historical records and scheduling information. Through my diverse skill set and proactive approach, I significantly contributed to the storytelling and outreach efforts of Duke Athletics.

Writing Intern/ League Senior Writer
Cape Cod, MA

During my time with the Cape Cod Baseball League, I was entrusted with a range of responsibilities that allowed me to immerse myself fully in the world of baseball journalism. One of the highlights of my role was the freedom to craft engaging stories, conduct insightful interviews, and report on the ins and outs of the league.
I relished the opportunity to write feature articles, delving deep into the personalities and stories behind the players, coaches, and fans that made the league so vibrant. Whether it was profiling a rising star, exploring the challenges faced by a team, or capturing the unique atmosphere of a game day, I approached each assignment with enthusiasm and creativity.
The freedom I was granted in shaping my storytelling allowed me to experiment with different writing styles and techniques, refining my craft with each article. From the narrative-driven prose of feature stories to the concise analysis of game recaps, I embraced the diversity of formats and subjects, constantly seeking to push the boundaries of my writing.
Overall, my time with the Cape Cod Baseball League was a formative experience that not only honed my skills as a writer and journalist but also deepened my appreciation for the rich tapestry of stories that make up the world of baseball. It was a privilege to have played a part in sharing the passion and excitement of the league with its devoted fans and supporters.

Remote

In my role, I dedicated 10-12 hours per week to remote editing of D1 Baseball articles through the WordPress platform. This involved meticulously reviewing content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial guidelines, ensuring that each piece met the high standards expected by our audience.
Additionally, I took on the responsibility of curating and compiling the weekly newsletters for our valued subscribers. This entailed conducting thorough research on the latest developments in college baseball, identifying key storylines, and crafting engaging narratives to keep our audience informed and entertained.
I had the privilege of managing D1 Baseball’s Twitter account, serving as a form of contact with our followers and promoting our content across the platform. I leveraged my creativity and strategic thinking to create an active and responsive online community, fostering meaningful interactions and driving increased visibility for our brand.
One of the highlights of my role was spearheading the “Top 10 Plays” segment, a weekly showcase highlighting the most spectacular moments from collegiate baseball action. This involved scouring through hours of footage, carefully selecting the most impressive plays, and crafting captivating descriptions to accompany each highlight. The segment is a fan favorite, generating excitement and anticipation among our audience week after week.
Overall, my multifaceted role allowed me to contribute to various aspects of D1 Baseball's operations, from content creation and editing to social media management and audience engagement. It was a rewarding experience that honed my skills in communication, organization, and content strategy, while also deepening my passion for the sport of baseball and the vibrant community surrounding it.

In my role as a beat writer, I've been entrusted with the responsibility of providing comprehensive coverage of EC Gulls sports, capturing the excitement and energy of game days and the intricacies of team dynamics. Whether I'm analyzing strategic plays, dissecting game performances, or delivering the latest updates on player injuries and roster changes, my goal remains consistent: to keep our readers informed and engaged with timely, insightful reporting.
